Re: lulu

ME I know you might not drop a litter soon, but when you do I'm very interested... Are there any other kennels with this type you are producing???

Re: lulu

Ish , I've bought dogs from 4 people in my life , i'd buy dogs from all 4 again , Jim Pharr , millcreek . Dennis Von Hof , end of the road  . Jan Dykstra , de legeane  , and Mike Sottile  , Alaric ............. Mike has since passed......dealing with folks really is a personal experience that may or may not translate to someone else ...... imo , the best dog people I know , and I said dog , not just dogue , are  Dennis Von  Hof and his wife Frankie  , the Bordeaux  breed is lucky to have people like them , as are his dogues , his dogs and pups  got it made ...........my dogues , I been lucky picking puppies ..... I kept all 3 pups last litter , but I knew lulu was the pick on day one , it never changed , she was such a huge , solid , strong , vigorous , healthy pup ...... the reason I kept all three  , and why these may be my last  , is the people you need to place puppies with ..... folks complain about breeders , well they should get a look at some of the buyers , not that there isn't an abundance of pos breeders , but there is also an abundance of pos puppy buyers ......... they fuc up a pup and want to know what you did ....... I just kept the whole litter , not one of those three pups has had a problem , the problems I've seen folks have with my pups , that I've never had , amazes me , and I've had a bunch more of my dogs than they have ...... lulu will be good to end on , but hard to do , if she continues to develop as she is , and the situation allowed , it'd be tempting to try one more time , it'd be like 7th or 8th generation of dogues , honestly bred based on healthy athletic animals  ......the fact I was a runner sure did help separate them  , along with the fact if I made a bad choice I accepted the consequences ........... lulu's hips will be excellent , i'll look , but I know it right now , and there won't be a surprise

Re: lulu

Re: lulu

Ish , the short answer is I don't need too , I did what I wanted ....... my line would be Von Hofs  emeraude de la font de pepignon ,  http://www.bordoguedb.com/pedigree/modules/animal/pedigree.php?pedid=7853  , I bred to her descendants as much as I could , I bred so infrequently , too such old dogs , and used frozen semen from long dead old dogs , spent a ton of money without a thought of getting any back , my dogues go back to old lines a lot faster than anyone elses I know ........ I think it was franco one time telling me he knew where the good ddb were , and they weren't mine , well , I seen  in person  all the "good" ddb he could possibly be talking about , most everyone , you couldn't have paid me to use them ... my dogues at the time were the best de laube rouge , the best del matachin , the best TNT , never used a "tool" , never compromised , used the best I had to the best I could find ...... vito talked a bunch of crap about ddb , well , a well bred one would kill anything ever came off his yard , too athletic , and the right attitude too do just that ...........from my perspective , both of them , clueless fucs ..........

Re: lulu

Ish , the breedings were almost exclusively AI's for a lot of reasons , none of those reasons were that the dogs were incapable of natural breedings .....

and thank you Mike , i put a lot of time money and effort into my dogs .........

Re: lulu

Mark you should build a site with your dogs and breeding selection and mindset it would be a great read and an even better educational tool...

Re: lulu

really nothing to it Ish , the 2nd bordeaux i got ran with me for 4 yrs before i bred her to a healthy male that moved good ...  i picked the strongest best moving pups , i liked running with a dogs , i picked dogs that could run .....  the temperaments didn't matter , but honestly they all were similar tempered ......
