A Letter From John D Johnson

I am behind in putting these pups, but here is the first of the old school letters. This one is two parts written by John D Johnson to my friend Matt Green. Matt at the time was researching the American Bulldog and had written JDJ. This is from the early mid 90's I believe. The first part is the letter written by JDJ to Matt and the second part is from the letter that JDJ titled, "History of American Bulldog." I myself have only spoken with JDJ twice by telephone also in the mid 90's. As a Bulldog enthusiast it is something I am glad to say I have done. I hope you enjoy a bit of Bulldog history.

Come on Chris you know the answer to that and it wasn't me. It was my live in geeksquad.

Re: A Letter From John D Johnson

Nice to see the letters. I would've loved to have met him and to have seen his dogs and heard his stories. R.I.P. John with your past Bulldogs.

Very cool...
I love the history... I had the privilege to meet Mr. Johnson and visit his yard years ago.

Just wanted to see if you'd admit it on an open forum. LOL Jane's my one woman geeksquad. We can't live without them and they know it. At least I always know where my balls are. Sh!t, did I just admit THAT on an open forum.

Re: A Letter From John D Johnson

Pretty cool... ..not heard of Matt in years. I remember him being into working dogs.... then dropped off boards over 10 years ago. Does he still have AB's?

Visited Mr. J's a few times. First time in spring of 90 or 91... he was much easier to understand back then.. Funny guy... wry sense of humor I really don't think most got it,taking him way too serious when he really enjoyed yanking peoples chain.

Re: A Letter From John D Johnson

Matt no longer has Bulldogs. He has gone to the darkside and has gone Malinois. He and I have trained together since the mid 90's. His last competition dog was a female Malinois Quin who has a French Ring1 and Mondio1. Super nice bitch, but still no Bane. I always liked working Matt's old dog Bane.
